It’s Leslie here, writing to you from Canada where it’s very cold and snowy. Hard for you to imagine, I’m sure! I’m a member of the Summer Learning Journey team and I notice that you've registered for the program but not done any of the activities yet. I think you might some of them a lot of fun and a way to keep in touch with your classmates this summer. Some of the activities give you a chance to be creative by making a poster or a picture, by writing a story or poem, or by using your imagination. Some of them ask you to talk about your favourite foods and activities and to share what it is that you like about your home. And many activities give lots of information about the unusual animals and plants that are found in New Zealand and in other countries around the world. So cool and so interesting!
There are still 3 full weeks left to participate in the Summer Learning Journey program called “The World Around Us”. Here’s the website address: www.summerlearningjourney.co.nz I hope you’ll take a look and try some of the activities. I’ll look for your postings and write back to you from Canada.
