St Patrick's day-By Brielle

Learning Intention:We are learning to write a recount.
Success Criteria:I know I am successful when I can write a recount about St Patrick's  day using capital letter and full stops correctly.

Hooray!It is St Patrick's day and we are having  fun and games.We  started our celebration by going to church for a mass. We sang and pray for our school that we will all be safe everyday.When the church finished we sat under the canopy so we can get into our teams. I was in Faith's team. 

First, my  team and I went to Mrs Dines' activity. It was a Roll the ball into the hoop. We were given a ball each to roll into the hoop and we took turns doing it. My team won two times and the other teams only won once.  It was fun to play roll the ball into the hoop.

Then the bell rang after ten minutes and we had to go to a different teacher to do a different activity. The other activities were Irish dancing, St Patrick dress up relay,Suck the shamrock and rob the flag from the other teams nest. We had so much fun doing all these games.

My favourite part was when Mrs Bullot gave us all Ice blocks after we finished doing our games.

Success Criteria:I know I can do this when I write
my story in order and use  full stops correctly.

On Saturday my Grandparents and I went to K'mart  in Botany. They bought me a dress and a toy dinosaur for my brother. Then we had lunch. I ask my Grandpa if can we go to the park after lunch.When we got to the  park I went to ride on the swing.Grandpa pushed it high.After playing we went home. At home I greeted my mum and dad and told them I had a fun day with grandma and grandpa. 

Ash Wednesday by Brielle

Success Criteria:I know I can do this this when I write a story about  Ash Wednesday in order and use capital letters and full stops correctly.

On Wednesday my class and I went to mass for Ash
Wednesday.First father Andrew burned the palms outside the church.Then one of my friends read their favourite picture and it was burnt too.Then father Andrew put Ash on my forehead and he said "from dust you come,to dust we shall return".Finally everybody got up and walked back to our class room .
