Learning Intention:W.A.L.T.-Write a report.

Success Criteria: I am successful when I can write a report about 
Maui dolphins.

Maui dolphins are mammals.
They are endangered species.

Maui dolphins like to eat small fish.
They eat squid.
Maui dolphins like to eat seaweed.

Maui dolphins are found in the West coast of the North Island  of New Zealand.


They use their tail to swim and to swim faster.
They use their fins to balance.

Maui dolphins are grey and white. 
They have sharp teeth.
Maui dolphins are small.

Shark is a fish.
Some sharks like the great white shark swim by propelling itself through the water using its tail.The fins are used for balance.
Other sharks,like the whale shark,move their bodies from side to side to propel them selves through the water.
We can find sharks in the oceans.Some sharks can be found in the river .
Most sharks give birth to live young but some do not,their eggs hatch later.

Whales are mammals.They live in water.

 Whales have a  fish like shape. 
Whales are large, streamlined aquatic mammals with eyes, mouth,a blowhole and two flippers.

They use their flippers to swim in the water.
Whales have a large tail or flukes that helps them to move in the water.In the oceans we can find whales were the water is cold like the Arctic and Antarctic oceans.

Blue whales reach maturity at 10-15 years.A curved  beaked whale has been recorded to dive to a depth of 3 km for over 2 hours. Sperm whales are also champion divers.Adults can stay underwater for almost two hours and dive to depths of 2,000 meters,maybe more.

Learning Intention:W.A.L.T-Write a recount.

Success Criteria:I know I can do this when I write
my story in order and use  full stops correctly.

On Saturday my Grandparents and I went to K'mart  in Botany. They bought me a dress and a toy dinosaur for my brother. Then we had lunch. I ask my Grandpa if can we go to the park after lunch.When we got to the  park I went to ride on the swing.Grandpa pushed it high.After playing we went home. At home I greeted my mum and dad and told them I had a fun day with grandma and grandpa.

Dear God please make the builders build Room 6 by term two so we can move in there. God please help me to listen to my teacher.Help my Auntie who died to go to heaven. Amen.
